This civil contractor is well-established in the civil construction industry. This very respected business constructs all their projects within a 30km radius of their Office which is located in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. This ensures work / life balance and reduces travel times so you can all get back to your families after work and enjoy some sunlight!
Due to the promotion of a Leading Hand to Foreman, we require a Leading Hand to join the business with experience in earthworks, subdivision construction, council and small road infrastructure.
Your Role
This is an opportunity for a Leading Hand who truly wants to succeed in this industry. We don’t promise you the world and not deliver, we also don’t throw you in at the deep end and see if you sink or swim. We invest our time in you and create an environment whereby you work hard, but you enjoy your work and your confidence will increase day by day.
You will report to and be closely mentored by your site Supervisor as well as the Project Manager on the job in a very nurturing environment which guarantees that you will succeed in this industry and learn how to build jobs the right way.
You will gain experience in running the entire project as well as dealing with clients, training new staff and financials of the projects which usually isn’t taught to run of the mill Foreman at most other Civil Contractors.
For this particular role: we do require that you have some leading hand experience before you join so you understand most of the fundamentals across an entire construction site, not just one particular area.
